Tell us about yourself and your space!
I'm Allison! A fashion and lifestyle blogger over at The Savvy Camel! recently quit my day job to go at my blog full time so I wanted a functional, bright, and clean workspace that would get me motivated and inspired, so I created my little home office. I kept the colors and decor neutral because my style tends to lean more neutral, but also because it helps to keep the space from being distracting and overwhelming. I tried to keep my decor fairly minimal for the same reason, but I added a bit of dynamic to the room by mixing gold and silver decor.

What inspires your home decor?
My home decor is heavily inspired by my own personal style. I tend to dress in a casual, neutral, simple, and girly style, so my home decor definitely reflects that. I'm also inspired by bright and airy spaces (Pinterest is full of them!) so I love to decorate in a way that opens up a room as much as possible and makes things feel bright, happy, and welcoming.

Where do you shop for your home decor products?
I shop at so many places for my home decor products! For more staple items, like curtains, bedding, and lamps, I love to shop at places like West Elm and Pier 1. When it comes to actual decor, I still love Pier 1, but I'm also a huge HomeGoods fan! You can always find the cutest decor there for a fraction of the price.

What advice would you give to someone looking to decorate a new or existing space?
When it comes to decorating a new or existing space, the two biggest things to consider before you get started are what you want the space to feel like and if you can use anything you already own in that space. I think it's important to imagine how you want to feel in a certain space before you start visualizing how you want it to look because how you decorate will heavily impact the vibe of the room. I also think it's a great idea to look at things you already own so that you can save some money! These two things go hand in hand because if you start decorating based on feelings and vibes more so than aesthetics alone, you'll start to collect home decor that can translate from room to room. I can't tell you how often I just swap out something from my bedroom for something in my living room. You get to redecorate a room for free that way!
